CONTAIN AND TREND OF PROJECT

The steel welding represents the process, in which are constantly developing and improving technologies and welding conditions, rising demands on quality of making weld joints. These trends and demands can fulfill only welders with the high qualification.

The project intention is enhancement of the testing level and certification of welders.

The main aims of the project are:

• enhancement of welders’ qualification,
• the level of their knowledge and their involvement into the lifelong learning.

Transferring of the European experiences and knowledge is ensured by multilateralism of the project. There are 4 partners from 3 different EU countries cooperating on it. All the partners are experienced in the testing and certification of the welders and in solving international projects.

The main results of the project are:

• the certification scheme for the organization and realization of exams and welders certification,
• test questions for the theoretical part of welders testing, the training test questions for revision of welders knowledge,
• before exam and methodology of welders test for the particular welding technologies for the practical exams.

The quality of these results will be practically proved in the pilot course of welders testing, which will be processed and realized within the project on the sample approximately 50 welders.

The main contribution of this project will be welders, who will gain by the testing and certification according to the standard prEn ISO 9606-1 the higher qualification and skills for the manufacturing of the most difficult steel welded joints. The welders with mentioned qualification will have opportunity of practice within EU countries and outside EU as well.  The project partners will have opportunity to exchange experiences and the project results can be used in their next activities. The implementation of the project results into the praxis allow to decrease lack of high qualified welders in SR, and in the countries of the partners as well. We suppose that after ending the project, the certification bodies of persons in welding of partner project organizations will implement the project results into their praxis and will execute testing and certification of welders according to the standard prEn ISO 9606-1 with the aim of providing this system to the other certification bodies in EU countries.
